In a box again today, trapped in my thoughts
Tired of trying
Pains, where have all the happy thoughts gone? Don’t see them
Reigning in the tears, tears that burn the face off
Strange and soak the skin
To sleep, oh to sleep, dreams so twisted
Clouds full of sorrow
No help to be got, no sleep for days
Only glimpses of light, sleeping through my tired eyes
Hope nobody notices me today
By Vicky McWilliams
________________________________________________________Labels
In a box with labels, labels of their choice, or notTearing them off one by one
Some so stuck they rip the skin off
The blood and labelled inheritence
To break the chains, the chains that tighten
With every new relationship and every child born to the slavery of labels
And the races popping up to check us out of their boxes
By Vicky McWilliams
________________________________________________________Broken
I was weary and broken
Tired and worriedTorn and beaten down
Not able to hold my head up
No hope, no money, no job, no dreams of the future, no holiday
Feelings of isolation, blue, exclusion
No responsibilities for my life
I still love and care for others
But not myself today

__________________________________________________________What sorrow shall these embers keep
The flicker,
A flame.
With red to show.
While darkness creeps,
Onwards,
The orange does glow.
As rust,
Bites metal.
Stone melts,
Slowly…
Against the flow.
Cold blue waters.
Into the distance,
There is the trace.
Of a shadow,
Maybe it is.
For all the while,
These thoughts,
Do drift.
For my mind,
To question.
But never,
Will I,
Truly know.
So I try,
To imagine,
A line.
Faint and fine,
Yet I am sure,
It will not capture.
Nor its symmetry,
Will define.
For such,
Are these things.
Which are there,
To intertwine.
When they are,
As ever,
Touched by time.

________________________________________________________ UNTIL Thin, very thin,Lonely, very lonely,Sad, very sad,
Clever, very clever, but almost mad
Love, love, long to love
Lost the drive, cos they’ve b’n no good
Bills, bills, but without the frills
Done it by my self
Damn, where I was I have a future of wealth
A wealth of a future
Beauty unforeseen
Not for them to judge
What remains untouched?
Remains supreme
Relinquish self doubt and let’s see
What there really might be to be to be seen?

There, there. Been and gone, spent and had For a game of soldiers u ain’t done too badThe pain you hold is not what they seeYet, lipstick hides many a bad dream
Nightmares, daydreams, all the same
You can’t escape the loop cos the grain’s the same
Follow the grain and feel the same,
Change the wood and you’ll feel good!
Feeling good is unfamiliar,
Some time without ain’t gonna kill ya
To die is quick and it’s affective,
How much do you want your own objective.
You have bit it and chewed it and spat it out,
Cos only the truth comes out your mouth
Minutes have gone and seconds have past
Yet you comfort those where reality’s lapsed
You observe their absence of what is real
Yet your time for now, yourself does steal.

Second on the Left. The road to nowhere must have an end Where ever that is, it will be your neck that bends Associates acquaintances friends and the like Change ‘em like your shoes After all it’s only you that keeps those in y’ life When you walk down the road and if you walk far enough, You’ll come to a junction, The choice is yours but that’s tough. Go straight ahead or you could choose left or the right, But when it gets dark watch the bugs don’t bite! Where ever you are even if you’re back to square one You have done it before so dust yourself down, Get up and move on. By Jade Rivers ____________________________________________________________________ ‘Twas once that I …………. Where are you now that doesn’t echo times before? But your hearing is much clearer this time Don’t wanna listen to that any more! Choice words choice music and choice all around Walking on platinum coated eggshells With this new footing you now have found Your hear a tinkle in the distance of those once thunderous fears But to get where you are now To be honest, it has taken years an years! All those minutes that’s been spent and those moments that’s spun around To hear the purr of contentment is a well sought after sound Saints or sinners, We’re all beginners, cos what goes around comes around. A New Day
As morning breaks, I hide my eyes but daylight wakes me. I say nothing more, Just wonder where fate will take me. Time passes by, Will the world slowly change me? I can’t stay the same, Life will have to shape me. Feeling sorrow, Pain is here to teach me. By Mattrix B poems ____________________________________________Nightmare Scenario
Don’t turn out the light Nothing is what it seems, Who will hear my screams? They are not in the room, But in my dreams. So save me from my plight, Leave that light shinning bright, Because if you don’t they might just bite. Please don’t turn out the light. By Mattrix B poems __________________________________________________Past Expressions
In every face, In every line. There was a place, There was a time. In every smile, In every frown. There was an up, There was a down. In every laugh, In every tear. There was a joke, There was a fear. Emotions etched, Your face shows your life somehow.By Mattrix B poems
